HCL has launched a new Android-based tablet, the Me Y3. Available online at Rs. 11,999, the HCL slate comes with dual-SIM support.
The HCL Me Y3 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor and 1GB of DDR3 RAM,. It has a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.
Other key specifications of the tablet include a 2MP rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, 3G HSDPA 7.2Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, mini HDMI, 4GB built-in storage, 32GB expandable storage via microSD and a 3100 mAh battery.
The HCL Me Y3 tablet is available from Saholic and Snapdeal. The device is expected to show up on other online stores soon.
HCL's Me Y3 looks to be an upgraded version of the Me Tab V1, which came with similar set of specifications such as 1GHz processor, Android 4.0.4 ICS, 2MP rear and 0.3MP front camera. However, the Me Tab V1 has single SIM and lower 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Read more about the HCL slate here.
