Lava Iris 505 and 506Q launched for Rs 8,999 and Rs 11,700
Lava has been known for manufacturing easily affordable and very
functional smartphone devices. It manufactures premium phones under the Xolo label and budget smartphones under its own name. Two of its latest products are Lava Iris 505 and Lava Iris 506Q.

* It comes with a 5 inch capacitive touch display.
* It is powered by a dual core processor of 1.2 Giga Hertz.
* It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version.
* It comes with a rear camera of 5MP and a VGA front camera. It offers LED flash, Smile/ face detection, 99 continuous shots and Panorama features.

* It comes with a capacitive TFT touch display of 5 inches and 540 x 960 pixels resolution.

* It works on a battery of 2000 mAh.
* Lava Iris 506Q has been launched at the price of Rs. 11,700.
Our Take: Both these smartphones offer quite a lot of value for money and offer gesture controls which none of the other devices in a similar price band offer. So it’s a thumbs up from my side unless Lava screws it up with a poor after sales service.
