Ganesha- as we all know is the god of wisdom, luck and prosperity. Ganesh Chaturthi is an auspicious day which is celebrated on the occasion of Ganesha’s birthday.
It comes in the Hindu Bhadrapada month. It is celebrated on the fourth
day after the new moon day in the Bhadrapada month. The duration of
celebration differs from place to place. Someone celebrate it for 5
days, somewhere it is celebrated for 7-10 days or sometimes 20 days
also. The starting day and last day of this tradition is the most
significant part of this tradition.
Nowadays this festival is so popular that people start preparing for it before months. In the corners of street as well as in the auspicious corner of home you could see the lovely statues of Ganesha. Various kinds of lightings, mind blowing decoration, authentic mirrors and the colorful flowers together constitutes the beauty of pandal of Lord Ganesha. Importance of Ganesha
Ganesha is incited by Hindus before the emergence of any propitious work. He is rumored for completing the wishes of mass. His blessings are considered as necessity by humans. He is the son of Lord Shiva and mother Parvati. A series of mythological stories are associated along with the natal of elephant headed Ganesha. He keeps rat as his vehicle which is too different than the rest of the gods. He says that rat is the sign of ego and those who can control this rat can only reach to Lord Ganesha.
