Bharti Airtel Working With Lava and Intex to Launch Affordable 4G Smartphones at Rs. 1,699 and Rs. 1,399 Respectively

Bharti Airtel recently partnered with domestic handset manufacturer Karbonn and launched an affordable 4G smartphone- the Karbonn A40 Indian, effectively priced at Rs. 1,399. On the same day, Airtel confirmed that it will be partnering with more smartphone brands in the future.

That said, in the coming days, we might see Airtel co-branded smartphones from Lava and Intex. As per a report from 91mobiles, Airtel will be collaborating with Lava, and as per our sources, the leading telecom operator will partner with Intex as well for an affordable 4G smartphone.

So, the report from 91mobiles says that Airtel and Lava’s affordable 4G smartphone will be priced around Rs. 3,500, and the effective price of the smartphone will be Rs. 1,699. And it applies same with Intex smartphone. As per the information we received, the effective price of the Airtel and Intex smartphone will be Rs. 1,399, same as the Karbonn A40 Indian.

Both the Lava and Intex smartphone offers will be similar to the Karbonn A40 Indian offer. They will be priced over Rs. 2,500, but Airtel will be offering cashback for three years.

For the unaware, with the Karbonn A40 Indian smartphone, Airtel is offering a cashback of Rs. 1,500, which brings the effective price to Rs. 1,399. The Karbonn A40 Indian is priced at Rs. 2,899. Airtel also announced a Rs. 169 tariff plan that offers unlimited voice calls and 500MB data per day for 28 days.

Most probably, the upcoming Airtel co-branded Lava and Intex smartphones will also come with support for the Rs. 169. Airtel is offering the same Rs. 169 to every other Airtel prepaid user, but the sad part, they get benefits for 14 days, whereas the Karbonn A40 Indian users get the same benefits for 28 days.

Currently, there are no details about the specifications of the upcoming Airtel Lava and Intex smartphones. Having said that, there are expected to offer similar features as the Karbonn A40 Indian such as the 4.5-inch FWVGA display, quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage which can also be expanded with a microSD card.

Also, they support Airtel VoLTE and also runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Airtel will be partnering with these domestic brands under the ‘Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone’ campaign.

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has now silently introduced a new tariff plan of Rs. 499 that offers similar benefits as the recently announced Rs. 459 tariff plan, but with an extra validity of seven days. This new Rs. 499 plan of Jio can be recharged via the company’s MyJio application, and the tariff plan is not yet listed on the company’s website Jio.com.

The all-new Rs. 499 plan gives 1GB data per day for 91 days, along with other benefits such as unlimited voice calls and access to premium Jio apps. It is still unknown whether this plan is a one-time recharge plan like other Jio plans.

Recently, Reliance Jio upgraded its tariff plans and increased the prices of the plans. The fastest growing telecom operator has increased the tariff prices by 15%. Jio is offering a Rs. 459 plan that gives benefits of 1GB data per day for 84 days and unlimited calls. If you remember, Reliance Jio previously offered the same benefits for Rs. 399 before this announcement and Rs. 309 before increasing the price to Rs. 399.

Nevertheless, Jio is slowly increasing the tariff prices for every month, and it is no more the same company which demolished other telecom operators such as Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular with its cutthroat tariff plans.

When comparing the Reliance Jio’s Rs. 499 tariff plan, BSNL has a similar plan of Rs. 429 that gives 1GB data per day and unlimited voice call without any cap for 90 days. And the best part is that the BSNL plan is valid on a pan-India basis. So clearly, BSNL’s plan offers better value for money than Reliance Jio’s.

However, the advantage Reliance Jio has with it is the pan-India 4G coverage. Yes, even after one year since starting its operations, Reliance Jio is the single LTE-only operator in India. And it’s the only operator to offer pan-India VoLTE services.

Having said that, this plan from Reliance Jio might trigger for another set of tariff plans from incumbent operators- Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular.

BSNL to Offer 500% More Data With All Its Postpaid Plans Starting November 1, 2017

Telecom operators are now looking to retain their postpaid subscribers by offering more data with the plans. After Airtel increasing postpaid data by more than 1000%, BSNL has now announced that it will be updating its postpaid plans with 500% more data starting November 1, 2017.

As per Keralatelecom.info, BSNL has upgraded all its postpaid plans. BSNL’s postpaid plans start from Rs. 99 and go all the way up to Rs. 1525. The Plan-99 currently offers 250MB of data, but very soon, it will offer 500MB, which is double the previous data offering.

BSNL Plan-149 postpaid plan earlier did not offer any data, but now, the same plan gives 500MB data per billing cycle. The Plan-225 modified to offer 3GB from the earlier 1GB data it used to offer. Also, the BSNL Plan-525 gives 15GB data from the earlier 3GB data.

The BSNL Plan-725 will offer 30GB data from the earlier 5GB data, whereas the Plan-799 plan offers 60GB data from November 1, up from the previous 10GB data.

Lastly, the two premium postpaid plans from BSNL offer insane data per month. The BSNL Plan-1125 plan gives 90GB data from the earlier 20GB data, and lastly, the Plan-1525 offers unlimited data without any speed restriction. The same Plan-1525 used to offer 30GB data from the earlier one.

With this change, BSNL is offering the best postpaid plans in the industry, beating Airtel and Reliance Jio hands down. The best of all is the premium Plan-1525 that offers unlimited data without any cap.

In contrast, Airtel is offering 100GB data with its Rs. 1,599 tariff plan and Reliance Jio is offering 90GB data with the Rs. 999 plan for a billing cycle.

The Yu Yunique 2 also comes in two variants- one with 2GB of RAM priced at Rs. 5,999, and the other one with 3GB of RAM called Yu Yunique 2 Plus priced at Rs. 6,999.

Vodafone Outs Two New Plans of Rs. 181 and Rs. 195 With 1GB Data and Unlimited Voice Calling Benefits

Vodafone India has silently started offering two new plans for its subscribers. These two plans are Rs. 181 and Rs. 195, and as the price itself suggests they both are aimed at Reliance Jio’s Rs. 149 tariff plan. If you remember, Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular also introduced plans of similar price.

Coming back to the plans offered by Vodafone, the Rs. 181 plan is aimed at 2G users. It gives unlimited voice local & STD calls and unlimited 2G data for 28 days. This is a bonus card from Vodafone India.

And the Rs. 195 plan is for all users- 2G, 3G, and 4G. This is also a bonus card and it offers benefits of unlimited voice calls and 1GB data for 28 days. That said, users have to adjust with just 1GB data for the entire month. Also, the unlimited voice calling is capped to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. And as said earlier, this plan is valid for all the Vodafone 2G, 3G and 4G users.

Competition wise, Airtel also launched a similar plan of Rs. 199 that gives unlimited voice calls and 1GB data for 28 days, and Idea Cellular’s latest Rs. 198 plan also gives same benefits of 1GB data and unlimited calls for 28 days. Idea’s Rs. 198 plan is for existing Idea customers, whereas new users can recharge with Rs. 178 pack to enjoy same benefits.

All the three incumbent operators launched these plans to combat Reliance Jio’s Rs. 149 plan. As an effect of the operators launching similarly priced plans, Reliance Jio increased the data benefit of the Rs. 149 plan to 4.2GB from the previous 2GB. However, the plan now has a daily FUP data limit of 0.15GB, which is underwhelming. Also, the plans of incumbent telecom operators don’t come with any daily data capping.

Idea Cellular Offering Extra 250MB Data With the Rs. 179 Plan If You Recharge Via Idea Website or Application

Idea Cellular has announced two new offers for its customers across the country. The first one is the additional data offer and the second one is the 101% cashback offer. Both the offers are already live for Idea customers.

Talking about the first offer, Idea Cellular, recently introduced a tariff plan of Rs. 179 to compete with Reliance Jio’s Rs. 149 plan. This plan from Idea Cellular offers 1GB of data and unlimited voice calls for 28 days. However, as part of the offer, customers whoever recharges the Rs. 179 plan on Idea website or application will get additional 250MB of data, which makes it 1.25GB data for 28 days.

This is a good offer from Idea as other telecom operators such as Vodafone, Airtel is offering 1GB of data. This differentiates Idea Cellular from the competition, and even there’s no daily data cap.

Talking about the second offer introduced by Idea Cellular, the company is offering 101% cashback every hour on the recharges done through Idea Money application of Idea’s official website.

After Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, it’s the turn of Idea Cellular to introduced a cashback offer to its customers. This offer is valid for all the Idea subscribers across the country starting October 20, 2017, to October 31, 2017.

Under the offer, Idea is offering 101% cashback with a maximum cashback amount of Rs. 101. So, one lucky winner every hour will receive the 101% cashback of Rs. 101 (maximum amount) every day during the offer period. And the offer is applicable for 15 hours every day from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Also, this offer is applicable on prepaid transactions, postpaid and DTH bill payments, utility transactions such as electricity and gas bill payment. Do make a note that the recharge should be done either on Idea Money app or web, and all the successful Idea Money transactions are eligible for the offer.

Furthermore, this offer is not applicable on Airtel prepaid, postpaid, and DTH recharges, and the cashback will be credited to the customer’s Idea Money wallet within 72 hours of the transaction.

6) वाई-फाई पर ऐप अपडेट करें या बैटरी चार्ज़ करते वक्त
आमतौर पर कोई भी एक्शन जिससे प्रोसेसर या बैंडविथ पर दबाव पड़ता है, वह ज्यादा ही सीपीयू पावर लेगा। सबसे बेहतर यही होगा कि यह एक्शन आम तौर पर स्थिर रहे और मोबाइल डेटा इंटरनेट के बजाय वाई-फाई का इस्तेमाल करे। ऐसे मे सबसे सही फैसला यही होगा कि आप अपने ऐप्स अपडेट को सिर्फ वाई-फाई पर शेड्यूल करें। अगर आपके डिवाइस में विकल्प मौजूद है तो सिर्फ चार्ज़ होते वक्त इसे शेड्यूल कर सकते हैं।

एंड्रॉयड पर प्ले स्टोर ऐप में इस सेटिंग तक पहुंच सकते हैं। ऐप को लॉन्च करें। स्क्रीन पर बाएं तरफ से स्वैप करके मेन्यू खोलें। इसके बाद सेटिंग्स मे जाएं, फिर ऑटो-अपडेट ऐप्स में। इसके बाद वाई-फाई ऑन्ली मोड को ही चुनें। आईफोन या आईपैड वाई-फाई+सेलुलर में सेटिंग्स में जाएं, फिर आईट्यून्स एंड ऐप्प स्टोर में। इसके बाद यूज़ सेलुलर डेटा को ऑफ कर दें।

7) लो पावर मोड को ऑन करें
सभी एंड्रॉयड फोन में बैटरी सेवर मोड मौजूद नहीं है। अगर आप एंड्रॉयड 5.0 या उसके बाद के वर्ज़न को इस्तेमाल कर रहें तो आपके डिवाइस पर इस मोड के मौजूद रहने की संभावना ज्यादा है। जैसे ही आपके फोन की बैटरी 15 फीसदी पर पहुंचती है, यह अपने आप एक्टिव हो जाता है। यह बैकग्राउंड ऐप रिफ्रेश, लोकेशन ट्रैकिंग और सिंक एक्टिविटी को बंद कर देता है, ताकि बैटरी लाइफ बचाई जा सके। एंड्रॉयड मार्शमैलो डोज़ फीचर के साथ आता है। अगर आप अपने फोन लंबे समय तक इस्तेमाल नहीं करते हैं तो यह फ़ीचर आपके फोन को डीप स्लो मोड में भेज देता है। इस फ़ीचर के कारण स्टैंडबाय टाइम दोगुना हो जाता है। अगर आप पुराने वर्ज़न वाले एंड्रॉयड फोन का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं तो आपको यह फ़ीचर नहीं मिलेगा।

8) फ्लाइट मोड का इस्तेमाल करें
अगर आपका फोन सेलुलर टावर के नजदीक नहीं है तो इसका असर स्टैंडबाय टाइम पर भी पड़ेगा। अगर आप ऐसी जगह पर हैं जहां कोई नेटवर्क नहीं है तो बेहतर होगा कि फोन में एयरप्लेन मोड (फ्लाइट मोड) एक्टिव कर लें। आपका फोन ऐसी जगहों पर बार-बार नेटवर्क तलाश करेगा जिसका असर बैटरी लाइफ पर पड़ेगा।
