Idea of Regulating WhatsApp & Others is the Worst Situation, What is Airtel upto

In a recent media interaction Bharti Airtel’s Indian operations’ head Gopal Vittal said that Over-the-Top players like WhatsApp, Skype, LINE, WeChat etc should be regulated and should be under some jurisdiction.
WhatsAppThis comes when most popular IM service provider WhatsApp, recently acquired by Facebook, plans to set up voice calls. Currently Indian operators generate majority of revenue (nearly 70-80%) from voice and text messages. With the rise of OTT players like WhatsApp, hike, Skype, LINE, WeChat, Viber users shifted their text messaging behaviour to these applications.
As these apps will be and some are already offering voice services, this could change the profit-sheets of telcos in a negative way. These apps with the rise of smartphones will change users’ behaviour – from basic voice & text to data. But Indian operators could not make 3G popular to that extent of 2G internet. If we could see the future Reliance Jio is coming with ultra high speed 4G mobile broadband with disruptive marketing strategy; this could lead to an end of monopoly of incumbents (AVoId), as well small players will be in great trouble.
Airtel seems to start their campaigning to restrict the use of these apps in India. But this goes against the basic rule of internet – fight to freedom. Restriction of VoIP in the country is not a good thing to see. More importantly how many apps will they block? In that way Google Play Store can be blocked as in China and there will be substaintial growth of 3rd party apps.
Instead of doing these why don’t Airtel look into collaborating with OTT players and accept the changed scenario to serve a country with young people full of endless possibilities? As a reader how do you look at this move by Airtel.

How Blogging Can Help Improve Your Brand

If you have not started blogging at your company yet, your absence in this medium could be hurting your brand.Blogging is easy because you and your employees are experts about your company and about your industry. Blogging can be free too, so if your company is not blogging, stop the excuses and get on this important bandwagon. How canblogging help your brand? Blogging can be an informal and educational voice for your brand, blogging can help your search engine rankings, and it can also help feature your products and spotlight points of interest from your company and your industry that can improve sales and your brand’s reputation.
How Blogging Can Help Improve Your Brand
1
Informal and Educational Voice for Your Brand
A blog is a chance to tell your customers and the public all about your company. You can highlight your brand image, tell customers what your company is about, and educate them about your company, products, services, and industry. Whether your company online or brick and mortar, you do not get the same opportunity to tell stories on your website or in retail locations like you can on a blog. A blog can give you a chance to highlight employees, partner companies, and give a view of the “behind the scenes” access to your company. A blog can be a vessel to connect with customers or your audience in a personal way.

2
Blogging Helps Search Engine Rankings
Adding a blog to your website, or even using a blogging service like WordPress or Blogger, can help add that ever-important content that the search engines are looking for. This is a topic that you must be very careful about, especially now that the search engines are craving quality content. That means, be careful and thoughtful with what you write about on your blog. Do not just write blog posts to fill in keywords and links; that will not help your search engine rankings in any way. In fact, it will likely hurt your chances of being included in search results for relevant keywords. Instead, write informative content that is aimed at your customers or potential customers. If they love the content, so will the search engines. If they love content, they are also likely to share it on their social channels, which will help spread the word about your company.
3
Discuss Points of Interest in Your Industry
You have a unique perspective of the industry you are in and your business. Share that with your blog readers. Is there a pop culture connection with your product or service? Are people using your products making the news or doing unusual things? Is there something newsworthy in your industry or vertical? Those are the interesting types of things that people will love to read about on your blog.

4
Spotlight Products
A company blog should not be all about selling your products. As mentioned before, talk about your company, be informative, and discuss points of interest in your industry. That doesn’t mean that you should not highlight products though. Definitely talk about and showcase products on your blog, but do it in a different way than you would sell them on your website. Use the opportunity to tell stories about products, how they are developed or made, and add lists of best sellers.
5
Takeaways for Businesses Developing a Blog
Blogging for your brand has many positive aspects, so you should develop a plan to blog now. It really can help put a personal stamp on your communications to customers and prospective customers much in the way that promotional gifts from Brandme do. Both blogs and promotional, branded gifts add a personal touch to your connections. Anyone in your organization can blog, and many different employees should get in on blogging to showcase a variety of topics and spread out the task. Develop a calendar and assign topics to different employees. Onecontent manager should be in charge of all blogging to make sure that continuity is maintained and there are notduplicates. The content manager can also ensure that posts are timely, relevant, and up to par with your company’s requirements.

Lie
This is second reason that forcing me to disable comment system as well. as i mentioned above about the intention that people are commenting for getting backlink for their blog or website, no problem if they gives feedback or suggestion then i will don’t mind but “NO” as i said they don’t care about the article what we’ve wrote and they need a backlink and for the backlink they will write whatever, anything. yes, some days ago, i received a comment onblogger tutorial related article but the comment was about android :
“Hey,
Thanks for one more great article about android games
Keep it up ! “
What does it mean? :/
3
Spam
Third reason, that i am sure, all WordPress users are facing same issue of spam comments. well, i used some plugins to get rid of spam comments but still i received a lot of spam comments daily i west my time in removing them. However there is available an option to remove all spam comments at once but the problem was that sometimes it considering some good comments into spam so, that i have to move it to the comments tab by clicking on not spam link.

7 Tips To Increase Google Plus Followers For Best Online Reputation

Even the most diehard social media enthusiast would agree that Google plus can never be half as much fun as Facebook or Twitter are. Or perhaps Pinterest andInstagram can be, in the near future.
While casual surfers can pick and choose the network they want to or enjoy the most, online entrepreneurs, bloggers and internet marketers cannot choose to ignore Google plus.
Since more G+ shares can improve your search engine rankingsgenerate traffic to your website and make your posts or articles more visible across Google search, it makes sense to work harder on increasing the number of Google plus followers.
How to increase your Google plus followers” is a question which would, therefore, be of interest to any person who works online for a living.

How to Increase Google Plus Followers?

Increase Google Plus Followers
Here are a few quick tips which you must look into (if you have not done that so far) to improve your G+ presence:
1: Complete your G+ profile
While most of us do create a G+ profile, not many go ahead and complete it by furnishing all the details like education, address, employers, adding a profile picture, etc.
Select the “Edit profile” to add all relevant details to your profile. Also take care to furnish details of all websites and blogs to which you contribute regularly by adding to the “Contributor Section”. This is of utmost importance to claim your Google authorship.
2: Integrate G+ profile with other social networks
This will make your profile look more authentic and will thus help you attract more G+ followers in the long run.
3: Follow other people
You are likely to be followed back by people whom you follow.
Look for people who share the same or similar interests as you and follow them. Besides the possibility of getting more followers, it will help you get more exposure in your chosen field.
4: Help other people
Merely creating a G+ profile and not working on it will get you nowhere. Spend a few minutes on your profile everyday to help other people.

If you are, for instance, an affiliate marketer, look for people who have posted questions regarding Affiliate Marketing or are looking for information on that topic. Provide them meaningful information on that topic, so that they will want to follow you back.
5: Invite people to follow you
Add your Google plus profile link to your Author Bio, to your email signature and invite all friends and family to follow you on Google plus. It would be a good idea to place them in a different circle though, and not in the same circle as your business acquaintances or online contacts so that their profiles do not get spammed by your posts which do not interest them.
6: Add a Google Plus badge
Besides that, adding the Google plus badge to your blog or website really helps. You can add one by checking out on the widgets in your Dashboard. If you know how to place your “Facebook Like box” or “Follow me on Twitter” box, this should be easy for you.
7: Join Google plus communities
Share your posts, views, ideas and opinions with like minded people by joining Google plus communities with similar or same interests as yours. You can even create your own community and invite people to join it.

Technologies that can reduce your business challenges

In 2014, business is conducted at a faster pace than ever before. Minutes and seconds count in an always-on, globally-connected environment, which is why your company needs to stay on top of short-term and long-term challenges. If your business isn’t working as efficiently and productively as it could be, then you risk losing your competitive edge.
Technologies that can reduce your business challenges
At the same time, there has never been a greater number of services and technologies out there to help businesses excel. From video calling software that enables you to hold meetings with staff anywhere in the world, to comprehensive email management solutions, there are a broad range of products to choose from to streamline your operations.

Networking services
From the earliest days, networking has been an essential cog in the business machine, whether it’s sharing information or making new contacts. In today’s office environment, you need to consider both the effectiveness of your local internal company network, as well as the way you utilise the larger global network that makes up the web. File sharing, communicationssecurity and privacy are all key considerations.
By upgrading both your network infrastructure and the software running on top of it, you can improve the way your business runs and reduce headaches for employees. How effectively is your information stored? How quickly can it be retrieved? Dedicated network management systems can make a huge difference here.

Mobile services
The explosion of mobile devices and apps has been the headline story in IT over the last decade, and while it might have raised some new challenges of its own, it’s certainly helped to make life easier for businesses large and small. Problems can be managed and information can be gleaned from wherever you happen to be in the world.
Consider how straightforward it is to make a video call across the world from your tablet or smartphone, or the rich depth of functionality provided by data analytics apps. You can now use your commute to check the current status of your website, the reach of your social media accounts, the latest industry news and much more besides.
Email services
Email is a benefit for businesses, that much is obvious, but go beyond the basics and the technology is there to give your company a real boost: consider something like email encryption from Mimecast, which protects the privacy and validity of your most sensitive information, or an upgraded archiving system that makes messages easy to find from anywhere.

Without the right apps and services installed, email can be a burden rather than a benefit: consider how your company’s messaging systems are managed and organised, and choose the tools that work for you, whether it’s managing your inbox remotely from a smartphone, or building up an automatically generated database of contacts and leads.
With the right technology in place, your business and the staff that you employ can work smarter as well as harder. From email management systems to intelligent server hardware, there’s plenty of powerful products out there. Make sure you make use of them.

Is Post-Auction Tariff Hike Really Imminent ? We find it out

Spectrum auction 2014 has been ended and already the incumbent operators are feeding the media that telecom tariff hike is imminent, as they have to shell out huge money to retain their spectrums. If anyone checks their claim about high cost for getting their spectrum is actually a lie. These companies have gone for both 900 and 1800MHz spectrum in the latest auction, but actually licenses of only 900MHz band spectrum which they have in 3 metros is going to be expired by November 2014.
mobile-towerThey knew about license expiration timeline, and therefore they should arrange money for it. But whatever spectrum in 1800MHz band they acquired in February 2014, that will be used mostly for 4G/LTE roll out. They look into the future and most importantly it’s not voice, it’s data. And the tariff hike generally goes to vanilla services – voice, text and 2G data. So their view about tariff hike is not a perfect decision.
There is another reason that will prevent all operators to jump into next round of tariff hike. The reason is upcoming launch of Reliance Jio’s 4G data and now voice as well as plethora of services. It’s almost sure that Jio will follow it’s trend to disrupt the market with ultra cheap wireless mobile broadband. So the situation in the market is something which can not be controlled by incumbent players – Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular.
If you had checked the trends behind the tariff hike earlier, it was something like that: revision in rate cutter pricing or the validity. But ultimately people did not stuck to their basic plans, and they started using rate cutters to keep the tariff high. What I feel these old players may hike the tariff to maximum 0.5paisa per seconds and no more than that. And people will use rate cutters to keep talking at low rate.
The newer operators like Idea in some circles, Aircel, Tata Docomo, Reliance Mobile, Uninor, Videocon and MTS should look into strategic change to be competitive in the market. Apart from true unlimited onnet calling packs, they must think about low cost (10p to 5p to 1p per minute) calling plans within their own networks in different time of the day.
So our readers, what do you think about tariff hike in near future? Drop comments!

Tata Docomo Revised CDMA Data Plans for Prepaid Mobile Users

ountry’s leading dual tech operator Tata Docomo has silently revised their CDMA data offerings for mobile phone users. Tata Docomo, being one of few CDMA service provider in the country has one of the strongest mobile network with its CDMA coverage.
Now the revised data plans is almost as par with market’s 2G data plans, though Tata Docomo allows that users if have a EVDO enabled smartphone/device will get EVDO speed with these packs.
Details of revised prepaid CDMA data plans from Tata Docomo:
tatadocomo-cdma-prepaid-packs-2014
At present CDMA data plans are quite cheaper than GSM, based on the fact that CDMA data plans from Reliance and Tata offer EVDO speed. Reliance’s STV94 offers 1.5GB EVDO data for 30 days, and 10p/SMS for 180 days.
Contrast to these offering, MTS, country’s sole pure-play CDMA operator has many data plans which are confusing and costly. They differentiate 1x and 3X/EVDO/HSD plans and for users who are using MTS-branded smartphones they have another set of plans. Not only that to access EVDO, people have to change their voice plan. In a short, MTS is really messed up!!

Vodafone India To Launch Opera Web Pass

Vodafone India customers will now be able to use Opera Web Pass which will allow Vodafone to package internet access in an easy-to-understand and affordable way. It enables Vodafone to replace complex, KB/MB-based data plans with time-based or content-based web-pass packages.

For example, users can pay to browse social-networking sites for a day or an hour, rather than having to keep track of the MBs they have consumed. This is a straightforward, controllable process similar to the way users buy apps today.
Using the Opera Web Pass configuration tool, operators can also monitor and optimize web passes and campaigns in near real time, allowing for testing and faster go-to-market timelines
