Online transaction is a boon for the operators, as there is less commission if it is done via their own recharge portal. It is quite interesting that all most all CDMA service providers (Tata, Reliance and MTS) are offering extra data to their high speed data users if they recharge online.

Tata Teleservices offers 15% extra data on all recharges more than Rs 500 done on their web portal to Photon Plus users.

Reliance Communications, which offers HSD services under Netconnect Broadband+ brand also offers similar benefits. And recently the offer is extended to Reliance 3G (GSM) data plans too.

Though RCom offers 10% extra data, it is available on all packs including STV97 (offers 300MB for 30 days, with web recharge you will get 30 MB extra). RCom users while top uping their prepaid account will also rewarded with extra talktime when they use instant recharge.

Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL), which operates under MTS India brand also offers some special plans for its high speed MBlaze users. These plans are valid on web recharges only done over MTS Online recharge portal.

Make a short video for converting it into an animated gif. There are a lot of video editing tools available online for this process. You can also use Windows Movie Maker, in case you are using Windows. Your video must have a length of 4 seconds. Therefore, you must shorten it to that length.
Once the movie is edited and you have brought it down to an adequate size, click on http://gifninja.com/animated-gifs/create. Click on ‘Browse’ and search for your video file. Select it. How to Create Animated Gifs From the Images

In case you want to animate a number of images, animated gifs must be created from the images. The files can be uploaded individually. You can upload up to 5 files. Another unique feature of gifninja is that the animated images can be split into various images. The file has to be uploaded. You simply need to click on ‘split my gif!’. You will see the images on the right hand side of the page. The images can be downloaded by the zip file through gifninja.

How to send Photos on FB Chat

Choose the picture / image you want to send on chat and upload it on any image hosting site. Dropbox’s Public folder is recommended.
Open a Notepad file and paste the following code:

In <title> you can put anything but in content, it should be the URL of the image file you placed in Dropbox Public Folder. To get the Image URL, right click on image and in “Dropbox” >> Copy Public Link.
Save this notepad file as *.htm For example: fb-chat.htm and save it in same public folder. This file can be even uploaded to any webserver allowing to host HTML pages.
Go to Facebook Debugger Tool and paste the Public link of the HTML file we uploaded in previous step.

Result will be somewhat like shown below:
And copy the number at the end of URL.

Now you are all set to use the Emoticon in facebook chat. If the number is 10151092682598135, then write [[10151092682598135]] in Chat window and send.
This was all about sending any custom image as emoticon / smiley on Facebook.

How to Send Profile Picture as Emoticon on Facebook Chat

This trick, I spotted on SoluteForum which also works on above technique but doesn’t include uploading image as profile pictures are already on Facebook.

You just need the Profile ID of the person whose profile photo is to be used as Emoticon in Chat. Profile ID is the number in the URL of the account which looks like this.

So, enter this ID inside double brackets and send.
Some profiles these days have Vanity URL like fb.com/nitzzzzzzzzzzz so, instead of ID, use the username inside brackets. For ex: [[nitzzzzzzzzzzz]]
It should be noted that the image sent will be 16x16px irrespective of the size of image you send.

How to Mark all gmail unread messages read at once

If you are like me, then probably your unread message count of gmail has got some nice 4 figure number (well mine was 8000+ this morning). Now obviously going through all the unread messages manually and checking them as read is something which is not humanly possible. Luckily there is a trick in gmail using which you can do it. I was feeling very irritated today morning and was checking the filters of gmail search. Finally I found a nice trick to do this with a single click. So, here I am sharing it with you. Just follow the 3 simple steps and you will be done in no time.

Advance Search the Unread messages

In the search bar shown above your messages, type is:unread and hit enter. This will show you all the messages which is labeled unread. But this will list only 20 messages (by default) per page. So, to mark them all as read, you need to do a little bit more.

Select all the unread messages

Now in the dropdown menu of checkbox (as shown in the above above) click the All button. This will select all the items of the current page (ie, 20 messages only).

To select all the unread messages at once, scroll down a little. You will see something like Select all conversations that match this search. Hit the button and this should select all the messages (check the screenshot above).

Mark all as read

Now scroll up a little and you will see a Mark as read button. Click on it and it will give you a confirmation.

Click OK and you are done. You will now see your email unread message count dropped down to zero.
